September 2021 Monthly Investment Report

This month started with a city trip to Dusseldorf, which was really nice; we went to some local breweries and enjoyed some delicious lunches and dinners. Unfortunately, the increase in the crypto portfolio was decimated again this month with a 20-25% drop in the market. Luckily, I was able to keep the total portfolio value around the same as in August. So no wins, but only a slight loss!

Capital Growth Portfolio

In September, we saw an actual decline of -1.15%, since we deposited €100 and only saw a €34.78 increase in the portfolio.

Portfolio value: €5730.55
Deposits: €100
Growth/decline: €34.78

Retirement Fund Portfolio

A small real decline in this portfolio as well, 3%.

Portfolio value: €1665.26
Deposits: €100
Growth/decline: €51.61

Index Fund & Stock Portfolio

I haven’t bought any ETFs or stocks this month, stacking some cash to buy more in the coming weeks/months.

If you want to start investing as well, the platform I’m investing on is DeGiro, but you can also invest on other platforms like eToro.

Semmie Portfolio

No comments, just a little decline.

P2P Lending Portfolio

Haven’t changed anything on Mintos, might need to increase funds a little on the platform to get my P2P back to 5%. Probably want to get it closer to €1000 in the coming months. The platform has been performing really well for almost 2 years.

Portfolio value: €643.67
Deposits: €0
Passive income: €4.56

If you sign up using my affiliate link, we will both receive 1% of our average daily balance, which is paid in 3 instalments for the first 90 days.

I’m currently invested in 5 projects on EstateGuru with 10-11% interest rate. For now, this will be enough; I will let the platform do its job for a while and see how the loans perform. After I get my Mintos up to around €1000, I will start topping op this account (if the platform keeps performing nicely)

Portfolio value: €254.39
Deposits: €0
Passive income: €0.88

If you sign up using my affiliate link, we will both receive a 0,5% bonus on all the investments done during the first 90 days of your registration on all the investments that move to funded status.

Crypto Portfolio

This month I haven’t bought or sold any crypto, markets are looking primed to go up again, so hopefully taking some profits in the coming months.

The rest of the assets are still growing slowly because of the interest. Swissborg is giving me a 4.5% yield on my bitcoin and 7.75% on my USDC. The BlockFi interest rates have increased again this month, unfortunately, bitcoin is still 4.5%. Celsius is becoming more interesting to test because of this. However, I first have to check withdrawal rates on BlockFi because I’m invested with such a little amount, it might not be worth it to move it to a different platform.

I also want to remind everyone, especially now that crypto is quickly appreciating in value, how important it is to keep the bulk of your crypto off the exchanges you are trading on. I keep mine on a Ledger.

Portfolio value: €4784.94
Bitcoin value: 0.04706843
Ethereum value: 0.83290441
Deposits: €0
Withdrawals: €0
Growth/decline: -€838.26

Ideas for November

I’m currently trying to grow the cash position in DeGiro and want to start scaling in ETF’s slowly when the market dips (if it dips). I’m also reading up on investing in startups on platforms like Republic, Seedrs & Crowdcube.
