February is normally not a very busy month in life or on the markets. However, this month with the Russian invasion into Ukraine, the markets have been going crazy. We see a lot of volatility all over the place, mostly to the downside, which is to be expected.
The crypto part of the portfolio did very nice at the time of the snapshot, which caused the portfolio to be in the green for this month.
Capital Growth Portfolio
A decline of -0.40% this month. A small decline this month, it seems we have seen the worst for now.

We see a bigger correction here than in the Capital Growth portfolio because this portfolio is stocks only. This month the actual decline is 2.60%.

I have put in a lot of buy orders this month, none of them have hit yet, but I’m looking to buy the ETFs: iShares Global Clean Energy (IQQH), iShares Global Water (IQQQ) & iShares Nasdaq US Biotechnology (2B70). I’ve also put some buy orders in for AT&T (T) & Blade Air Mobility (BLDE).
The allocation of the portfolio is quite perfect at the moment, so that is nice, this will change depending on which buy orders hit first in the coming weeks.

Mintos
I didn’t add any funds in February, because of the war in Ukraine, a lot of loans are being made in Russia and the surrounding countries, so I want to diminish the risk for now. Once I reach €1000 on this platform and €500 on EstateGuru, I will diversify platforms. The last 2 years have been really nice on Mintos.

I’m currently invested in 7 projects on EstateGuru with a 9-11% interest rate. I didn’t add any funds, since my P2P is now at 5% of my portfolio, might add next month if the percentages get skewed.

Crypto Portfolio
We saw a little rally at the end of February, so the portfolio is a bit greener since last month. Hopefully, we have seen the worst for now. If not I might start buying large caps again, bitcoin & Ethereum. My bitcoin position grew by 1.22% through staking and lending.
The rest of the assets are still growing slowly because of the interest. Swissborg is giving me a 4.5% yield on my bitcoin and 7.75% on my USDC. The BlockFi interest rates have increased again this month, unfortunately, bitcoin is still 4.5%. Celsius is becoming more interesting to test because of this.
I also want to remind everyone, especially now that crypto is quickly appreciating in value, how important it is to keep the bulk of your crypto off the exchanges you are trading on. I keep mine on a Ledger.
