The last month of the year, always a very busy month socially! Unfortunately, the country started another lockdown, so the last few days of the year, we couldn’t really go out with the family which was a bummer. However, the fact that the calendar was filled with events made sure I didn’t have too much spare time to actively manage my portfolio. So for the first time in months, my cash position actually grew, yay! I will continue growing the cash position in January, so I have some ammunition to buy when the market starts dipping a little.
Capital Growth Portfolio
A small decline of -0.84% this month, still growing steadily, rather boring to talk about but should be nice gains in a couple of years. The total ROI is 12.51% after two years.
Portfolio value: €6187.87
Retirement Fund Portfolio
A little better performance again, since I’m only investing in stocks here instead of a combination with bonds and real estate. 2.2% growth this month. The total ROI since the start of this portfolio is 15.17%.
Portfolio value: €2073.05
Index Fund & Stock Portfolio
So as I said earlier, finally a month where I didn’t buy any stocks or ETF’s. The cash position is growing slowly but steadily. Unfortunately, none of the ETF’s I’m eyeing look buy worthy yet. The total ROI for my DeGiro portfolio is 16.56%, so far I’m outperforming my managed investing platforms by a little. Time will tell if it is worth the time invested, but I’m having loads of fun with it!
Portfolio value: €7602.26
Passive income: €39.86
Real Growth/Decline: €192.57
Ideal allocation (December 2021):
- Stocks: 75%
- ETFs & Cash: 25%
If you want to start investing as well, the platform I’m investing on is DeGiro, but you can also invest on other platforms like eToro.
No comments, just a little growth.

P2P Lending Portfolio
In December, I deposited some more on Mintos because I want to keep my P2P percentage at 5%. Once I reach €1000 on this platform and €500 on EstateGuru, I will diversify platforms. The last 2 years have been really nice on Mintos.
Portfolio value: €757.63
Passive income: €5.31
If you sign up using my affiliate link, we will both receive 1% of our average daily balance, which is paid in 3 instalments for the first 90 days.
I’m currently invested in 7 projects on EstateGuru with a 9-11% interest rate. My first project got repaid in full, which made me extra enthusiastic about the platform and I will continue to add until it reaches €500.
Portfolio value: €362.96
Passive income: €1.06
If you sign up using my affiliate link, we will both receive a 0,5% bonus on all the investments done during the first 90 days of your registration on all the investments that move to funded status.
The crypto portfolio took a little dive in terms of EUR value, BTC and ETH holdings are slightly higher. I haven’t bought or sold anything this month. Taking the withdrawals into account, the ROI of this portfolio is 5227.81%, which is absolutely insane of course.
The rest of the assets are still growing slowly because of the interest. Swissborg is giving me a 4.5% yield on my bitcoin and 7.75% on my USDC. The BlockFi interest rates have increased again this month, unfortunately, bitcoin is still 4.5%. Celsius is becoming more interesting to test because of this.
I also want to remind everyone, especially now that crypto is quickly appreciating in value, how important it is to keep the bulk of your crypto off the exchanges you are trading on. I keep mine on a Ledger.

Ideas for January
I’m probably going to cash out some more crypto to bring down the allocation in crypto a little more from which the profits will go to several other assets.
- Nothing new planned
