April 2020 Monthly Investment Report

Investment Portfolio Overview April 2020

In April we’ve seen a bounce back in the stock market, we are around halfway up to previous levels. It’s actually quite remarkable the numbers are back up that much, many analysts suspect the worldwide economy will shrink with 20-30% in the coming months.

Many governments are providing a lot of financial support, which I think is the cause of the steady growth back to the same numbers before the Coronacrisis. I also believe the decline in Corona cases contributes to market recovery.

However, there are still many uncertainties about the future in a lot of sectors, specifically tourism, aviation, catering industry, and retail. I’m just going to continue averaging in.

Capital Growth Portfolio

As I mentioned in the intro, it’s quite clear to see the growth of the portfolio in the graph.

Portfolio value: €3355.89
Deposits: €100
Growth/decline: €285.84

Index Fund Portfolio

In April I bought some more VWRL, the prices were really good because of the big stock market drop. € 70.5725 is now my average buying price. I want to research if I should buy some more IDVY next month, because it hasn’t seen a big recovery yet, unlike VWRL. I will be spending some time looking into why this hasn’t happened yet and what the prognoses will be for the companies in this ETF.

Portfolio value: € 621.01
Deposits: €200
Passive income: €1.85
Growth/Decline: € 51.54
